Save Time with Saved Captions

The 4-minute interactive demo (aka the nano course) was a course format I helped develop during my stint with Later. It was a concept that was formed with a few ideas in mind:

  1. Each would target a specific user issue or pain point and highlight a Later feature as a solution
  2. It would be short, meaning less commitment for users, more completions for us
  3. It would be quick to develop, ideal for expanding the course library

I ended up building a good chunk of these but I will show off one of my favourites, Save Time with Saved Captions.

The idea came from a report on Later Power Users. Turns out Saved Captions, a basic/free feature, was one of the most used tools, while it was something a lot of casual users tend to ignore.

From chatting with SMEs on the team, what stood out to me was how versatile Saved Captions was. There are a lot of ways to use it that many may not realize right away. The challenge was clear here. I had to create a quick demo to capture some of these uses.

I think the best parts for me were building a cohesive story that incorporates all the use-cases and creating the semi-gamified final challenge at the end, where users can try the steps without prompts. Try it yourself!

Note: Lucky for me, the Learn with Later website is publicly available and I’ve gotten permission to share links to my work for portfolio purposes.
